Born and raised in South Bronx, I am more of a “Renaissance Man.” Starting in humble beginning being raised by non-English speaking, immigrant parents, I was inspired to work hard and build an illustrious career in medicine. After a fulfilling career in medicine, I wanted to share my passions of music and writing with the world.

With every twist and turn, my desire is to keep you thinking until the very end

Deadly Motivations was the first novel of mine. With this introduction into the literary world, I wanted to portray a relevant story, and what is more relevant than a medical thriller. Confessions continues this trend depicting the life of a serial killer among us, that we wouldn’t even expect. With my background in medicine, I strive to include real world details into my books so they are relatable to the world you experience, making them even more chilling.

Evan Dicks, the salutatorian of Beaumont High School is a brilliant journalist and writer. His first screenplay has already been optioned by Netflix. He is also a serial killer. This beautifully written memoir details the inner workings of his mind, his dark, black deeper inner thought, his psyche and the possible genesis of his actions. He discusses his abusive father and seemingly loving mother and the role they may play in his killing spree. He also remembers his girlfriend and her possible ability to save him. Evan Dicks can be charming, giving and loving but the account of his life is chilling, frightening and unnerving.

Daniel Whitacore is a brilliant oncologist who discovers a way to use a deadly virus to treat lymphoma. His discovery is a miracle to those who suffer from the devastating disease. Unfortunately, Daniel has enemies. These enemies hope to alter his miracle cure to make it something deadly to harm Daniel as well as the entirety of mankind. Not only must Daniel fear those who mean him harm, but also, he must be wary of those closest to him. John Abel is Daniel’s devoted fellow, but even he soon gets caught up in the plot and becomes an unwilling conduit to its execution. John’s girlfriend, Susan, is a Harvard educated PhD. She may be smart, but can she be trusted? An outside force, Peter Sutter, recently lost his son to cancer, and he seeks revenge against Daniel, much like the others who would use his miracle cure to kill. Then, there is Jack Comstock: a jihadist conflicted as to his motivations and the ramifications of his actions. All of these people are soon intertwined by Daniel’s scientific discovery, but will any of them get what they truly want?

The novel moves quickly and is engrossing, with twists and turns in the plot that eventually opens onto a world stage and a political melodrama that borders on the apocalyptic. Malfeasance, sabotage, betrayal are key players woven into the story along with the hopes and disappointments that dog physicians and patients alike in the struggle against this deadly disease. The ending is literally a cliff hanger and I can see Hollywood knocking on Schulman’s door.
